This watch belonged to Koenigl Lieutenant Friedrich Mueller who served 47 years with the Regiment of the Gardes du Corps - a cuirassier regiment in the Guard Cavalry of the Prussian Army. He retired on October 10th, 1882.
The watch is engraved with the following German inscription on the back:
"Dem Koenigl : Lieutenant Friedrich Mueller bei seinem Ausscheinden nach 47 jaehriger Dienstzeit am 10 October 1882".
The back of the watch is engraved with the following inscription on the front:
"Das Offiizier Corps Des I Garde Dragoner Regiments" with the military crest featured in the centre.
Please note that the toggle has been replaced at some point in time with a Birks toggle clasp which we estimate to have been done around 1910.
